Condominiums in the Kolomyia City Territorial Community have the opportunity to receive reimbursement of part of the costs associated with the implementation of energy saving measures. This opportunity is envisaged in the program "Energodom Kolomyia for 2024-2026", which was approved by the city council to stimulate the implementation of energy saving measures in the housing stock.
Under the terms of this program, applications submitted to the Energy Efficiency Fund and approved can receive reimbursement in the amount of 10% or 20% of eligible costs, according to the Energy Efficiency Fund.
"Today, energy efficiency and energy saving are a matter of national security, as this is the only sure way to energy independence for our country. Based on the experience of implementing the Energodom Program, I can definitely say that those communities are successful where there is clear support and active position of local authorities to stimulate the implementation of energy-saving measures in the housing stock of communities. Under the current conditions, we propose to move step by step, starting with a set of quick payback measures such as installation of IHS, insulation of pipelines, and hydraulic balancing of the heating system. This is something that can be scaled up even in wartime and will result in significant savings in energy consumption without exposing co-owners to additional costs," comments Yegor Farenyuk, Director of the Energy Efficiency Fund.
According to the Program, reimbursement of part of the costs is realized within the estimated allocations provided for in the city budget for the relevant year and in the monthly allocation plan.
According to Ecopolitic, hospitals in 20 regions of Ukraine have received 300 energy storage systems for backup power thanks to the Power for Health project from the American charity Direct Relief.
