The occupation of four wind power plants caused losses of 16 billion hryvnias

In 2021, the net profit of "DTEK VDE" reached UAH 4.44 billion

The DTEK VDE group estimated the losses from the occupation of four of its five wind power plants with a capacity of 500 MW at more than 16 billion hryvnias.

The company's revenue in 2022 fell 2.6 times (to UAH 2.95 billion) due to the shutdown of these wind turbines and the Trifonivskaya solar power plant, reports Forbes.

It is noted that as of December 31, 2022, the following were located in the temporarily occupied territory:

  • Primorsky WPP;
  • Primorska VES-2;
  • Botievska WPP;
  • Oryol WPP.

In addition, Trifonivska SPP was launched only in January 2023.

The company's specialists assessed the impact of a full-scale incursion on non-financial assets and as a result recognized an impairment loss of UAH 16.09 billion, including UAH 13.82 billion in the consolidated statement of profit and loss and UAH 2.28 billion in the consolidated statement of comprehensive income.

The material emphasized that due to the occupation of wind power plants, the net loss of DTEK VDE according to the results of work in 2022 amounted to UAH 15.84 billion, after a net profit of UAH 4.44 billion a year earlier.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in March 2023, in the de-occupied Kherson region, specialists of the company DTEK VDE restored the operation of the Trifonivskaya HPP by 50%.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, the first phase of the Tyligul wind power plant with a capacity of 114 MW and 19 wind turbines was launched in the Mykolayiv region.
