In Transcarpathia, eco-inspectors calculated 116.9 million hryvnias in damages due to a mass plague of fish in the Polui River in the Mukachevo district.
This became the largest environmental disturbance of the week from June 30 to July 6, the State Environmental Inspection reports on Facebook.
It is noted that eco-inspectors presented a claim to FG "World of Meat", PJSC "Chopivske" and LLC "Koshet" in the amount of 25.1 million hryvnias for the death of fish. Enterprises are located in the disaster area. The case materials were handed over to the regional prosecutor's office and the national police.
The report said that the second most high-profile environmental disturbance was discovered in Zhytomyr Oblast. Thus, a claim for 5.9 million hryvnias was presented to the Bronykivska village council for the felling of 104 trees on the territory of the "Green Lagoon" landscape reserve of local importance.
The eco-inspectors also calculated the damages and presented a claim to the state-owned enterprise "Grozynske" in the amount of 14.8 million hryvnias for the illegal felling of 2,668 trees in the Korosten district.
Case materials were sent to the Zhytomyr Regional Prosecutor's Office.
It is noted that during the week eco-inspectors conducted 102 control measures and drew up 158 protocols on administrative offenses. The total amount of imposed fines reached 41 thousand hryvnias, 35 thousand hryvnias were charged to the State Budget.
"Damage in the amount of 163.3 million hryvnias was calculated for the violation of the requirements of environmental protection legislation. The total amount of presented claims and lawsuits is 46.2 million hryvnias. Voluntary and forced damages in the amount of 1.57 million hryvnias have been collected," the report says.
