Garbage sorting containers were installed in 10 schools and kindergartens in Volyn in the Horokhiv community.
This will help improve the environmental situation and teach children the importance of sorting garbage and recycling, reports Horokhivsk MTG.
The message said that children and teachers will be able to sort garbage into 4 fractions (paper, glass, plastic and metal). It will also help teach children to be responsible for nature.
"Thanks to these measures, future generations will have the opportunity to imitate ecologically conscious behavior and treat the surrounding world with care," the press service emphasized.
It is noted that the project is a continuation of the successful initiative "Don't burn, compost", which was carried out in educational institutions of the community.
Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that Anna Bila, a resident of Lutsk, and her 7-year-old daughter Emma walk along the eco-trail in the "Kivertsiv Forestry" in the village of Garazzha almost every day, where they collect garbage left by other visitors.
As EcoPolitic previously reported, in Chernivtsi schools, kindergartens and after-school clubs installed containers for sorting garbage, to develop environmental awareness among children.
