Eco-inspectors took water samples for laboratory testing to find out the causes of the plague

In the Rivne region, near the city of Berezne, a fish plague occurred in the Sluch River, during which 43,670 fish died.

Damages to the environment amounted to almost 5 million hryvnias, it is reported by SEI Online on Telegram.

The plague was discovered thanks to the appeal of a local resident of the village of Tysytsia to the hotline of the SEI.

During the examination of the banks of the Sluch River, the following deaths were discovered:

  • gossip - 24,200 copies;
  • verkhovodka - 7,700 specimens;
  • perch - 4,400 specimens;
  • krasnoperky - 6,600 specimens;
  • zander - 330 specimens;
  • bream - 440 specimens.

Specialists of instrumental and laboratory control took samples of surface water for further laboratory research of measurements of indicators of the composition and properties of water samples, changes in which could cause the death of aquatic biological resources.

Materials on this fact are being prepared for transfer to the national police for the opening of criminal proceedings under art. 242 of the Civil Code.

In addition, the SEI obliged the Berezniv Territorial Community to take immediate response measures regarding the removal of dead aquatic bioresources from the river to a designated disposal site.

Earlier EcoPolitic reported, that in the Rivne region, eco-inspectors removed in one day 20 nets with a total length of 2000 meters.
