In the Mykolaiv region, 250 hectares of the Bashtan forest farm were illegally leased for the cultivation of grain crops.

Damages from the use of land plots for non-intended purposes amounted to 6.4 million hryvnias, the State Environmental Inspection of the South-Western District reports on Facebook.

The message emphasized that eco-inspectors were invited as involved specialists in the framework of criminal proceedings. Loss calculations were attached to the case file.

It is noted that the grain was grown on land plots of the forestry fund, the purpose of which is forestry. This violates the requirements:

  • Article 57 of the Land Code of Ukraine;
  • Article 81 of the Forest Code of Ukraine;
  • Articles 35, 41 of the Law of Ukraine "On Land Protection";
  • paragraph 40 of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 01.03.2007 No. 303 "On approval of the Rules for reproduction of forests".

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in Vinnytsia, the State Bureau of Investigation has informed a forester from Yampil Forestry of State Enterprise "Zhmeryn Forestry" about the plowing of 14 hectares of the nature reserve. It was part of a plan to create a private hunting ground.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, a resident of the village of Zaliznytsia in the Kamin-Kashir district of the Volyn region arbitrarily occupied a part of the Pripyat-Stokhid national park and built an artificial reservoir on it.
