The official had previously abused his official position

In the Lviv region, law enforcement officers detained the director of a state-owned forest enterprise while receiving a bribe in the amount of UAH 9,000.

The official was supposed to promote the unimpeded release of forest products, according to the Anti-Corruption Monitoring of Lviv Region on Facebook.

Violations were revealed by employees of the Special Investigations Department together with the SU GUNP and the Lviv Regional Prosecutor's Office.

Cash and physical evidence were seized from the scene.

During the investigative and operational measures, they found that the director of the forestry had previously abused his official position. So he gave a local resident 30 meters of forest products for a bribe of 21 thousand hryvnias.

“Remember, there are no small bribe-takers! Every malefactor who improves his financial situation at the expense of public property should be punished, ”the article reads.
