A fire broke out at the point of impact

A Russian missile attack on the night of April 11 completely destroyed the Trypillia thermal power plant in Kyiv region. Centrenergo lost 100% of its generation.

This was announced by Andriy Gota, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Centrenergo, in a comment to the Interfax-Ukraine news agency.

A large-scale fire broke out in the turbine shop at the site of the hit, and the company is working to localize the fire.

"All employees who were on shift during the shelling are alive," Gota said.

Since combustion products have a toxic effect on people's health, we urge residents of Ukrainka to close their windows to protect their health. For a while, it is recommended to limit outdoor exposure, especially for children and pregnant women.

In addition, it is worth turning on the air conditioning and air purification systems and performing wet cleaning. It is recommended to increase fluid intake to 2-3 liters per day for adults. To compensate for the loss of salts and trace elements, it is recommended to drink salted and mineral alkaline water, milk-acid drinks (skimmed milk, milk whey), juices, mineralized drinks, oxygen-protein cocktails.

If symptoms such as shortness of breath, cough or insomnia appear, you should consult a doctor.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, environmental damage in the amount of over 48 million hryvnias was caused in Zvyagel (Zhytomyr region) as a result of a Russian attack on an infrastructure facility.
