In the Ivano-Frankivsk region, employees of the Karpatskyi National Nature Park (NPP) were outraged by the dismissal from the position of head Volodymyr Solobodian and the appointment of a new head Stepan Goshovskyi.
The reasons for the change of manager are unknown and no explanation was given to the team, reports the Carpathian National Nature Park on Facebook.
It was noted in the material that Solobodian, who was on sick leave, was released on August 26, and since August 27, Goshovskyi has been the head of the Karpatskyi NPP.
Ruslan Grechanyk, First Deputy Minister of environmental protection and natural resources of Ukraine, Eduard Arustamyan, Director of the Department of nature reserve fund and land resources, as well as Stepan Goshovskyi, a candidate for the position of director, took part in the event representing the new manager.
"However, the official representatives of the Ministry of Environment faced enormous resistance from the Park team, representatives of local self-government bodies, public organizations and concerned citizens," the article says.
Park employees were never explained the reasons for the dismissal of the current manager.
The material also emphasized that for 4 years, the competition commission did not determine the winner for the position of park director and did not provide any explanations for this. Employees of the park believe that there was not "their" person among the candidates.
"They are already pushing us, apparently, their own, without any contests, under the guise of military status, – they write in the NPP Karpatskyi. – The team will not allow his opinion to be disregarded."
As EcoPolitic reported before, in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, Stepan Goshovskyi, a former eco-inspector who was fired for bribery, may be appointed as the new head of the Karpatskyi national nature park.
