"233.8 tons of unusable pesticides remained unused in the region. The condition of 47 warehouses where they are stored is unsatisfactory, and therefore poisonous substances in the adjacent territories are a source of environmental pollution – soils, underground aquifers, air," the press service said.

The message added that the cost of disposing of spoiled pesticides reaches 100,000 hryvnias per ton. Funding opportunities from local budgets are currently limited, so hazardous waste will be eliminated gradually.
