In the first three months of 2026, the Metinvest Group paid 190 million hryvnias in environmental taxes to the state budget. This figure also includes payments from joint ventures and associated companies.

According to the company’s press service, despite the challenges posed by the war, the entire group paid over 4.3 billion in taxes and fees during this period.

The iron and steel group reported that the state received the largest amount from Metinvest for subsoil use—1.2 billion UAH.

Among the group’s other payments in January–March 2026 were the following:

  • 823 million UAH – unified social contribution;
  • 727 million UAH – personal income tax;
  • 351 million UAH – corporate income tax;
  • 328 million UAH – land tax;
  • 331 million UAH – value-added tax;
  • 207 million UAH – military levy.

"Metinvest has been working for Ukraine for 20 years now – and under any circumstances, we have never strayed from a simple principle: to operate transparently and pay taxes. War and crises change the rules of the game, but not our responsibility to the country. Today, taxes provide real support to the army, healthcare, and the people," said Yuriy Ryzhenkov, CEO of the Metinvest Group.

The group noted that during the period of full-scale war, it contributed approximately 78 billion UAH to state and local budgets.

EcoPolitic previously reported that, according to a ranking by the business publication The Page, Metinvest ranked second in terms of sustainable development among Ukrainian companies.
