During the week from January 27 to February 2, eco-inspectors calculated more than 3.4 million hryvnias of damage caused by violators of environmental legislation.
The most high-profile violations were found in Zhytomyr and Kyiv regions, the State Environmental Inspection reports on Facebook.
It is noted that during this time eco-inspectors conducted 39 environmental protection measures and drew up 122 protocols on administrative offenses.
The most high-profile violation was found outside the village of Rudnya-Horodishche near the city of Zhytomyr. Thus, unidentified persons cut down 1,021 trees on the lands of the Novoguyvyn settlement council, which caused damage in the amount of about 1,843.4 thousand hryvnias.
The press service emphasized that the eco-inspectors also made a calculation and presented a claim to LLC "Tsegla voshogo domu" in the amount of more than 697.8 thousand hryvnias for the arbitrary use of the subsoil of the Trypil deposit.
Also, during this period, environmental violators voluntarily and forcibly compensated more than 1.4 million hryvnias of damages.
