The most high-profile violation was found in Kremenets, Ternopil region

During the week from January 20 to 26, 2023, eco-inspectors calculated more than 1.3 million hryvnias in damages caused by violators of environmental legislation.

During this period, environmental violators compensated the state budget for more than 4.5 million hryvnias in damages, reports State Environmental Inspection on Telegram.

The press service noted that during the week, eco-inspectors conducted 56 environmental protection measures and drew up 124 protocols on administrative offenses.

The message emphasized that the most high-profile violation was found in the Ternopil region. Thus, the municipal enterprise of the Kremenets City Council "Miskvodhosp" caused damage to the environment in the amount of more than 973 thousand hryvnias, in particular due to:

  • non-compliance with the conditions of the permit for special water use;
  • non-compliance with the standards of maximum permissible discharges (MSD) of polluting substances into a water body.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in Ukraine, eco-inspectors charged violators of environmental legislation during the week, from January 13 to 19, voluntarily and forcibly 789.34 thousand hryvnias fines. They also obtained a court decision to limit (suspend) the activities of two enterprises.
