The draft law will ensure the formation of state policy in the field of health care

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine registered in the Verkhovna Rada draft law No. 8363 "On amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine on ensuring environmental safety of water use."

The document is designed to improve eco-safety standards for sanitary protection of resorts, which will contribute to the protection and restoration of water ecosystems, the representative of the government in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk, reports in Telegram.

He noted that the draft law proposes that the central body of the executive power develop and approve the standards of ecological safety of water use for reservoirs used for medical, spa and health purposes. This will ensure the formation of state policy in the field of health care.

Melnychuk also added that the document complements the concept of the district of sanitary protection of the resort with a new norm regarding the establishment of environmental safety standards for water use within such a district. This will contribute to the implementation of the water use goals of the Water Code.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that the Government of Ukraine approved the Water Strategy for the period until 2050 and the operational plan for its implementation in 2022-2024 without additional funding.

As EcoPolitic reported earlier, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the government's proposal in its second reading draft law No. 6478 "On sewage disposal of populated areas".
