Italy will finance the construction of two waste processing plants in Transcarpathia

Enterprises will be able to cover the waste disposal needs of 400,000 and 550,000 people, respectively

The Italian company "Gesenu Ambiente Group" plans to build 2 powerful waste processing plants in Zakarpattia Oblast with the financing of the Italian government.

This was reported by the Transcarpathian Regional Council.

Representatives of the "Gesenu Ambiente Group" company, which has more than 40 years of experience in the waste processing industry, have already presented the plant construction projects to the local authorities.

They correspond to European norms and standards and are compiled taking into account regional characteristics and environmental protection factors.

In February of this year, the Italian delegation already visited Transcarpathia and inspected several proposed locations for waste processing plants. Investors identified the Uzhgorod and Khust districts as the most promising for the construction of enterprises.

The term of construction of plants will be one and a half years. "Gesenu Ambiente Group" assures that the facilities of the enterprises will be able to function without interruption for 20-25 years.

Officials of the Transcarpathian Regional Council informed that they are already starting the process of providing a documentary base so that investors can start implementing the project.

Earlier, EcoPolitic reported that in Transcarpathia are planning to build 5 new waste processing plants.

We also told that, according to the forecast of the International Solid Waste Association, by 2050 humanity will produce almost twice as much household waste as now.
