Construction waste littered more than 650 square meters of land in the rural community

The estimated damage to the environment in Ukraine in the Odesa and Mykolaiv regions alone last week amounted to more than UAH 9.5 million. The most damaging violation was the placement of a landfill with construction waste in the Odesa region.

This was reported by the State Environmental Inspection.

The 658 sq. m. landfill was set up on the territory of the Usatova rural community. According to the calculations of the State Environmental Inspection of the South-Western District, the amount of damage caused by this violation exceeds UAH 8.7 million.

Second in the sad ranking, with damages of almost UAH 600,000, is the illegal felling of 120 acacia trees. The destruction of the trees was discovered on the territory of one of the forestries of the Southern Forest Office branch of the State Enterprise “Forests of Ukraine.”

The destruction of trees is among the most damaging violations in the Zhytomyr region.

On communal land in the Oliivska community, 112 trees of various species were cut down. The amount of damage is over half a million hryvnias. A lawsuit has already been filed with the commercial court regarding the illegal logging on the territory of the Zabilotsky Forestry of the Radomyshl Forestry and Agricultural Complex.
