The use of funds paid by environmental violators is regulated by the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers

In Ukraine, monetary penalties for violation of environmental legislation are distributed among environmental protection funds, the State, regional and local budgets, which is determined by special laws.

Administrative fines for environmental violations are fully transferred to the State budget, the State Environmental Inspectorate in the Vinnytsia region reports on Facebook.

Thus, in Article 47 of the Law of Ukraine "On Environmental Protection" determined that monetary penalties for damage caused by violation of the legislation on environmental protection as a result of economic and other activities are transferred to the accounts of environmental protection funds at the place of environmental damage.

30% of monetary penalties for damage caused by violation of legislation on environmental protection as a result of economic and other activities are transferred to a special fund of the State budget. This is determined by Art. 29 of the Budget Code of Ukraine.

And article 691 of the BKU establishes that 50% of monetary penalties for damage caused by violation of legislation on environmental protection due to economic and other activities are transferred to the budgets of local governments (except for the budgets of the cities of Kyiv and Sevastopol) and regional budgets – regional budgets and regional budgets budget of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

The use of funds paid by eco-destroyers is regulated by the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 1147 of September 17, 1996.
