Japanese-supplied equipment is operating at the temporary storage sites for demolition waste in Dnipro, processing construction waste into separate fractions for further use in construction.
This was reported by Delo.ua.
A total of 21 such sites have been organized in the region. The crushers for processing the remains of destruction were provided by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

The principle of their operation is to process construction waste into separate fractions: rebar, screenings, gravel, etc. The capacity of such equipment reaches 400 tons per hour.

This technique allows the remnants of structures to be transformed into materials for further use in the municipal economy, for example, in the construction of intra-quarter roads.

The Dnipro site is also currently using equipment that processes wood waste into fuel briquettes in a test mode. The city received this equipment with the help of UNDP and the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA). Its cost is UAH 1.7 million.
As EcoPolitic recently reported, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine proposes to expand the range of companies that can obtain a permit for waste treatment under a simplified procedure.
Also last year, a platform was launched in Ukraine to help solve the problem of demolition waste.
In early November last year, EcoPolitics reported that Borodyanka, Kyiv region, had started recycling construction waste in an environmentally friendly way.
