At its meeting on May 24, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine appointed Ruslan Hrechanyk First Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine.

"Hrechanyk has extensive experience in environmental protection. Prior to that, he headed the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Lviv Regional State Administration and the Western Bug and Xiang Basin Council. He also worked as the head of the Ukrainian Forest Breeding Center," the Ministry of Environment said.
Grechanyk has been the Director of the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Lviv Regional State Administration since 2016.

Lviv region is one of the first to develop and approve the State Monitoring Program in the field of air protection of Lviv zone for 2021-2025. What is known about Ruslan Hrechanyk
A native of Stryi in the Lviv region, he was born on August 15, 1973. He graduated from the National Forestry University of Ukraine with a degree in forestry (forestry engineer) and ecology (professional qualification - ecology specialist). In 2002 he became a candidate of agricultural sciences, associate professor.
From 2016 until now he has been the director of the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Lviv Regional State Administration. Prior to that, in 2014-2016 - Director of the State Organization "Ukrainian Forest Breeding Center" of the State Agency of Forest Resources of Ukraine; in 2009-2013 - doctoral student of the National Forestry University of Ukraine; in 2001-2009 - assistant, senior lecturer, associate professor of the Department of Forest Crops and Forest Breeding of the National Forestry University of Ukraine.
In 2020, Hrechanyk declared 433 thousand hryvnias of income and bank accounts.
It should be noted that a new head of the department has not been appointed instead of Ruslan Hrechanyk, his deputy is the head.
It will be recalled that the Cabinet of Ministers at a meeting on Friday, May 13, fired three deputy ministers of environmental protection at once and natural resources. It was also assigned three new deputies.
