About 200 people took part in eco-actions for cleaning

In Zaporizhzhia, in the Khortytsy beach area, activists removed three cleaning "Let's save the Dnipro together!" 15 tons of various garbage on an area of ​​more than 15 hectares.

The last discussion was held on the weekend of August 26-27, reports Metinvest.Media.

"After the last two actions, we received a lot of messages asking "when is the next cleaning?". And today, here, on the third eco-site, we gathered in a large company to complete a series of summer actions within the framework of "Save the Dnipro together!" – said the project manager of the public organization "Zaporizhia. Platform of Joint Actions" Hanna Glavcheva.

It is noted that about 200 people, including employees of Metinvest, residents of Zaporizhzhia and other communities, took part in the eco-actions for cleaning.

The material said that after the Russians blew up the Kakhovskaya HPP, the Dnipro River became very shallow and the activists were able to remove the garbage that was previously at the bottom of the reservoir. They cleaned the shores of plastic, glass, rubber, syringes and ampoules, etc.

Remind, in Zaporizhzhia, volunteers collected about 500 kg of garbage from Khortytsia, which was washed ashore after the explosion of the Kakhovskaya HPP. Car tires, bottles, cans, fragments of boats that sunk long ago, remains of fishing tools, etc., were at a depth of about 4 meters before the terrorist attack.

As previously reported by EcoPolitics, about 40 rusty barrels were removed from the bottom of the shallow Dnipro River in Zaporizhzhia.
