In some areas, dust levels are several times higher than normal

On April 14, most cities in Ukraine recorded a "green" air pollution level. Monitoring stations have not reported any critical exceedances that pose a threat to residents' health.

This is according to data from the international monitoring platform IQAir.

On average, air quality in Kyiv is good. The level of PM2.5 particulate matter pollution is 2.7 μg/m³.

The highest level of pollution is on Reheneratorna Street. There, the dust level is 9.2 µg/m3, which exceeds the "healthy" norm from the World Health Organization – 5.5 µg/m3.

All monitoring stations connected to IQAir indicate safe air in such regional centers as Dnipro, Poltava, Cherkasy, Kharkiv, Vinnytsia, Lviv, and Lutsk.

However, the monitoring data shows exceedances of pollution in Ternopil – 10 µg/m3 of dust. Moderate pollution was also recorded near Odesa in the village of Kryzhanivka. At this location, the dust content exceeds the norm by more than three times – 17.4 µg/m3.

It should be recalled that Ukrainian scientists installed air quality monitoring equipment in Antarctica. As EcoPolitic reported, this will make it possible to track the movement of pollution around the planet.
