These investments help to implement Metinvest's “green” strategy. As a reminder, in 2024, the company approved its Climate Policy. It includes measures to reduce emissions, improve energy efficiency, and ensure transparent monitoring.

Metinvest has also launched the Adria project to build a green steel plant in Italy. This plant is set to become the flagship of the company's decarbonization efforts in Europe.

As reported by EcoPolitics in March, Metinvest will invest UAH 1.4 billion in the construction of gas and solar power plants this year.

The company also plans to spend $18.1 million on equipping its enterprises with solar power plants with a total capacity of 37 MW.
