However, the continuous burning of the Boyka towers continues to poison the environment

The Black Sea is gradually recovering from the effects of hostilities, and the water condition in the Tuzly Estuaries is satisfactory.

Ivan Rusev, head of the research department of the Tuzly Estuaries National Nature Park, posted this on his Facebook page.

He said that the sea is gradually being cleaned up and in recent weeks “has an incredible turquoise color” (the main photo on the right shows the Black Sea coast of the Tuzly Estuaries National Park – Tuzly Amazon Border). The ecologist recalled that in the first year of the full-scale invasion, the sea washed up many dolphins killed by the war from March to September on the shores of the national park.

The ecological condition of the estuaries is now satisfactory, says Ivan Rusev. This is due to a natural strait that was formed in early December last year and constantly fills the Tuzly estuaries with sea water.

According to the ecologist, there are many small reservoirs between the estuaries and the sea, which are important for migrating and wintering birds.

Earlier, EcoPolitic reported on the consequences of the war for the Black Sea as seen by experts and the amount of environmental damage to its ecosystems. We also talked about the International Black Sea Day, which is celebrated on October 31.
