On Thursday, November 7, a meeting of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Environmental Policy and Nature Management will be held via video conference at 11:00 a.m.

Its members will consider a profile document for which the eco-committee has been identified as the main one, namely draft law No. 12131 "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Regarding Resumption of Monitoring, Reporting and Verification of Greenhouse Gas Emissions."
This document was submitted by People's Deputies of Ukraine O.V. Bondarenko, S.V. Mandziy, L.V. Vasylenko, V.I. Black, E.P. Proshchuk. and Magera S.V. A mandatory condition for its consideration is the availability of the opinion of the Main Scientific and Expert Department.
The Ecocommittee must submit its proposals to:
- Draft Law No. 12026 "On Amendments to Article 263-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine regarding the decriminalization of the manufacture under martial law for the purpose of carrying out combat tasks related to the protection of the national sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, military supplies, explosive substances and explosive devices";
- Draft Law No. 12089 "On Amendments to the Civil Code of Ukraine on Strengthening the Protection of the Rights of a Bona Fide Purchaser";
- draft law No. 12142 "On the system and peculiarities of the functioning of the railway transport market of Ukraine".
People's deputies will also consider the state of implementation of the Law of Ukraine "On Amendments to the Forestry Code of Ukraine on Conducting a National Forest Inventory."
Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that the government approved three important European integration documents in the environmental sphere: approved the Management Plans for 8 main river basins of Ukraine, approved the European integration draft law "On the management of waste from the extractive industry", and also extended the term of submitted declarations regarding the implementation of waste treatment operations until April 9, 2025.
