In Gostomel, Kyiv region, the Mostyshche branch of Lyceum No. 1 will be equipped with solar panels at the expense of the international environmental organization Greenpeace.
Work on the installation and connection of solar panels at the school is planned to be completed in the near future, the Gostomel Military Settlement Administration reports on Facebook.
It is noted that the project is being implemented at the expense of Greenpeace, and the equipment and installation is being carried out by Solar Planet.
"The equipment will ensure uninterrupted operation of the Gostomel Lyceum No. 1 branch and shelter in the event of a power outage," the village council's press service said.
According to the Education Management Information System (EMIS), this elementary school can accommodate 120 children at a time.
Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that an 11 kW solar power plant has been installed on the roof of the Kazka kindergarten in the village of Horenka, Bucha district of Kyiv region. The project is being implemented at the expense of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
As EcoPolitic reported earlier, 10 kW solar panels were installed in the pre-school department "Dzhereltse" of the Irpin Gymnasium "Osvita" in Kyiv region. The solar power plant will help ensure uninterrupted power supply.
