Policemen "caught red-handed" Poltava residents who set up a cattle dump in the middle of a field

Police near Poltava exposed three residents of the district who were unloading the remains of livestock carcasses into a dug hole near the village of Nosivka.

The offenders dug the pit for the cattle cemetery with an excavator, according to the Main Directorate of the National Police in Poltava region.

It is noted that the offenders were found on Wednesday, February 28. They were three Poltava residents aged 30, 43, and 52. The police opened a criminal investigation. The investigation is establishing the circumstances of the incident.

"The police have previously established that the offenders dug a pit in a field near the village of Nosivka with the help of an excavator and transported the remains of carcasses of domestic animals to it in a truck," the report says.

The press service said that for violating part 1 of Article 239 (Pollution or damage to land) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, Poltava citizens face a fine of one to four thousand non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens. Or deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in Odesa, eco-inspectors discovered a quarry where carcasses of goats, sheep and other livestock were dumped from a neighboring farm, as well as the remains of animals after slaughter.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, a part of the Hrynivetskyi forest began to be cut down near Khmelnytskyi, where, according to local residents, in the 1970s, a cattle graveyard was set up for cattle that died of diseases.
