Residents of Khmelnytskyi were urged to donate unwanted warm blankets and rugs for reuse by the military.
They and other items in satisfactory condition can be brought to the city's Waste Management Centers, according to the Facebook page of the community "Smart Environment. Khmelnytskyi" community.
"Currently, we have a request from volunteers – we need warm blankets and blankets for the military," the message reads.
These things and other waste can be brought to the Centers at the following addresses: 7 Myru Ave. (municipal solid waste landfill) and the intersection of Chornovola and Pilotska Streets. The centers are open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
It is noted that Centers can be brought for recycling:
- organic waste;
- construction waste;
- glass;
- paper;
- PET plastic;
- metal;
- household appliances;
- furniture;
- clothes;
- polyethylene;
- hazardous waste (batteries, thermometers, fluorescent lamps and energy-saving lamps, medicines, electronics, household chemicals, paints, glues, solvents and used lubricants).
Earleir, EcoPolitic wrote, that fluorescent lamps, batteries, electrical equipment, household chemicals, medicines, used single-use cigarettes, etc. can be disposed of in Khmelnytskyi in January at the mobile hazardous waste collection point "ecobus".
As EcoPolitic previously reported, the public organization "Ukraine without garbage" joined the "Zigry" project from Made in Ukraine and started collection of yarn to make warm clothes for soldiers at the front.
