Hazardous waste can be brought to Waste Management Centers every day

In Khmelnytsky, in January, the mobile hazardous waste collection point "eco-bus" will be used to recycle fluorescent lamps, batteries, electrical equipment, household chemicals, medicines, used disposable cigarettes, etc.

The schedule of eco-bus stops was published on its Facebook page by the public organization "Smart Environment. Khmelnytskyi".

Hazardous waste can be brought daily to the Waste Management Center (7 Myru Ave. and the intersection of Chornovil and Pilotska streets) from 8:00 to 19:00.

The following types of waste can be brought to the eco-bus:

  • batteries and accumulators;
  • fluorescent lamps;
  • thermometers and mercury-containing materials;
  • paints, glues, solvents (with containers);
  • electrical and electronic equipment;
  • detergents, household chemicals (with container);
  • expired medications.

This garbage cannot be thrown into the general container, because it has an extremely negative effect on the environment. But thanks to the ecobus, it will be recycled or disposed of.

  • January 11, 12:00-17:00 – Ruzhichna microdistrict, "Pan Divan" store, str. Kamianetska, 170;
  • January 12, 09:00-17:00 – Central district, "Silpo" store, str. Shevchenko, 34;
  • January 13, 09:00-17:00 – South-West microdistrict, Delicate store, str. Instytutska, 7;
  • January 14, 09:00-17:00 – Zarechje microdistrict, "Stary Mlyn" cafe, str. Zarichanska, 40;
  • January 17, 12:00-17:00 – Central district, Philharmonia, 7 Gagarina Street;
  • January 18, 12:00-17:00 – Grechany microdistrict, "Ploskiriv" Sports and Cultural Center, 90 Kurchatova Street;
  • January 19, 09:00-17:00 – South-Western microdistrict, Lvivske Shosse 41, "ATB" store;
  • January 20, 09:00-17:00 – Dubove microdistrict, Kozatska Street, 54/2, DNZ #1;
  • January 21, 09:00-17:00 – Ozerna microdistrict, "Dana" store, 28/3 Panasa Myrny Street;
  • January 24, 12:00-17:00 – Ozerna microdistrict, str. Zaliznyaka, 4, Dobroho dnya pharmacy;
  • January 25, 12:00-17:00 – Vystavka microdistrict, polytechnic college, Zarichanska Street, 10;
  • January 26, 09:00-17:00 – Zagotzerno district, "Shoes for your family" store, 38 Kamianetska street;
  • January 27, 09:00-17:00 – Rakove microdistrict, str. Garrison "Hotel-dormitory";
  • January 28, 09:00-17:00 – Tsentralny district, "Dytyachi Svit" shopping center, str. Kamianetska, 19.

As EcoPolitic reported earlier, promo Service company and “Give up batteries!” to Ukrainians in 2023 sent for safe disposal more than 200 tons of batteries, that is, about 7% of the total import of about 2800 tons.
