The company plans to install bins for sorting waste in 11 stores of the chain and scale up the project

In Poltava, at the sorting facility of the Aurora Multimarket chain of stores Residents of Avrora Green can give 23 types of raw materials for recycling or safe disposal.

Waste that is not suitable for processing is sent for safe incineration, and new goods for stores are made from the waste that is suitable, reports Poltava Wave.

The point works at the address: st. Kotlyarevsky, 38/40.

It is noted that in point, a number of tanks are installed in which waste is collected. They have generally accepted colors: red – metal, yellow – plastic, blue – paper. Plastic is sorted depending on the material, and glass – according to color, because such waste is processed using different methods.

"We have an eco-consultant who works from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. They undergo special training to understand the types of raw materials," project manager Natalia said. Raisin .

She emphasized that the waste sorting project had to be expanded due to a lack of raw materials from suppliers who make goods for stores from recycled material. For example, PET bottles are processed into crumb, which can be used to make clothing items or household buckets.

It is noted that the company plans to install garbage sorting tanks in 11 stores of the chain and later scale the project to other regions.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in June in Poltava, the chain of stores "Aurora Multimarket" opened the first full-fledged garbage sorting point in the city.

As EcoPolitic  previously reported, in Poltava they started accepting for recycling plastic rear parts of TV cases (polystyrene RS) for 1 UAH/kg and plastic furniture (polypropylene RR) for 5 UAH/kg.
