Since the beginning of 2023, 28,700 electric cars have been registered

In October, Ukrainians bought 4,493 new and used electric cars, which is 4.5% more than in September.

Compared to the same period in 2022, the demand for electric vehicles increased by 2.8 times, reports Ukravtoprom on Telegram.

It is noted that the number of electric cars reached 4,417, of which 851 were new, and 3,566 were used.

"Out of 76 commercial electric vehicles, only 10 were new," the report said.

It is noted that the TOP-5 new electric cars on the market in October included:

  • VOLKSWAGEN ID.4 – 366 units;
  • TOYOTA BZ4X – 65 units;
  • HONDA E – 63 units;
  • VOLKSWAGEN ID.6 – 44 units;
  • AUDI Q4 e-tron – 24 units.

The TOP-5 used electric cars registered for the first time in Ukraine were:

  • NISSAN Leaf – 573 units;
  • TESLA Model 3 – 442 units;
  • VOLKSWAGEN e-Golf – 405 units;
  • TESLA Model Y – 255 units;
  • RENAULT Zoe – 201 units.

Since the beginning of 2023, almost 28.7 thousand electric vehicles have been registered in Ukraine for the first time, which is 2.7 times more than in the same period last year. In addition, the share of new cars increased from 16% to 20%.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in Ukraine, from January to June 2023, 12.6 thousand electric vehicles (BEVs) were added to the carbon-neutral transport fleet, which is three times more than in 2022.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in 2022, sales of electric vehicles worldwide increased and accounted for about 10% of the total market, thanks to significant growth in China and Europe.
