The commercial court of the Zakarpattia region ordered the company to compensate almost 6.7 million hryvnias for the illegal extraction of sand and gravel mixture instead of fish breeding.
The company received a working project for the arrangement of the pond, but instead began to extract minerals, the Transcarpathian Regional Prosecutor's Office reports on Facebook.
It is noted that no authorized body has applied to the court for damages. Therefore, the Uzhhorod District Prosecutor's Office prepared and submitted a statement of claim. Damage compensation was achieved thanks to the efforts of the Specialized Environmental Prosecutor's Office and the Transcarpathian Regional Prosecutor's Office.
"The court fully satisfied the requirements set forth in the statement, the decision is expected to enter into force," the press service said.
The message emphasized that the funds will be collected for the benefit of the Onokiv village council.

Violations were discovered thanks to the joint work of border guards, eco-inspectors and the temporary investigative commission "National Resource".
