Border guards were the first to notice the violation

In Transcarpathia, near Tyachev, a criminal scheme was uncovered by a company that, under the guise of an agricultural firm, mined 150,000 tons of sand and gravel worth 405 million hryvnias.

Violations were discovered thanks to the joint work of border guards, eco-inspectors and the temporary investigative commission "National Resource", reports the State Environmental Inspection in Zakarpattia Oblast on Facebook.

"None of the entrepreneurs was able to present permit documents for the processing of minerals, not to mention the lack of an environmental impact assessment document, without which activity is generally prohibited," the press service said.

It is noted that police officers were called to the scene of the crime and recorded violations. They should conduct an investigation and bring the perpetrators to justice.

It is noted that the violations were recorded by border guards and reported to eco-inspectors.

Earlier, EcoPoli6tic wrote, that in Transcarpathia, eco-inspectors involved border guards to detect environmental violations, because they use aviation and conduct thorough photo and video recording.
