The cooperatives wanted to stop the process of returning the reserve lands

In the Lviv region, the court did not support the cancellation of the protected status of the landscape reserve of local importance "Torfovishche Bilogorshcha", which was demanded by four garage cooperatives.

15 hectares of the land of the reserve were transferred to private ownership free of charge already after its creation, the Lviv Regional Council reports on Facebook.

The reserve was created in October 2019. However, in 2020, the Ryasne-Ruska village council decided to transfer the lands of the reserve into private ownership to cooperatives that were created a month before the transfer.

Proceedings in the case were opened in January 2022.

"The appeal of the decision on the creation of the reserve in the district administrative court showed the intention of the cooperatives to stop the process of returning the land plots they acquired," said Yaroslav Hasyak, head of the legal department of the Lviv Regional Council.

He emphasized that there were no procedural violations during the creation of the reserve. And the unsoldering of the land plots of the nature reserve fund and the free transfer of the plots took place much later and with violations. That was confirmed by the court.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in Transcarpathia, the Yasinyan village council did not agree to the creation of the customer "Vilnyi Svidovets", where they planned to build a ski mega-resort.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in the Mykolaiv Oblast in the regional landscape park "Tyligulsky" Chilovu Kosa was built up by the MAF and turned into a popular recreation spot.
