An online map of 62 collection points for HDPE plastic caps has appeared in Ukraine, with the money from which eco-activists will purchase a drone for the Armed Forces.

So far, it has been possible to collect 1.78 tons of lids out of the 6 required, reports the environmental protection organization "City of the Future" on Facebook.

The map is available by link.

It is worth noting that the campaign was launched in Odesa in order to to involve all Ukrainians, in particular children, in the help of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and environmental initiatives. Later, other cities joined it, namely:

  • Kyiv;
  • Lviv;
  • Mykolaiv;
  • Secretary;
  • Ternopil;
  • Dnipro;
  • Chernivtsi;
  • Vyzhnytsia.

It is noted that the lids for collection must be:

  • clean;
  • without extraneous smell;
  • without metal (caps from vodka are not collected);
  • without paper;
  • without transparent inserts of PET plastic;
  • covers from coolers are collected separately.

Eco-activists said that they receive most of the caps through Nova Poshta. The minimum shipment weight is 5 kg, shipment is carried out from the 20th to the 25th of each month. Details can be obtained by writing a private message.

"If you want to become a location partner, write to us in private messages (we will gladly add to the list)," they emphasized.

As EcoPolitic reported earlier, eco-activists launched a all-Ukrainian collection of 3 million plastic caps, i.e. 6 tons of HDPE plastic, in order to purchase a reconnaissance UAV for defenders.
