Caps can be brought to collection points in 4 cities, or sent by "New Post"

Eco-activists launched a nationwide collection of 3 million plastic caps, i.e. 6 tons of HDPE plastic, to purchase a reconnaissance UAV for defenders.

In the first two weeks of the eco-action, it was possible to collect 488 kg of lids, reports the environmental protection organization City of the Future on Facebook.

Eco-activists said that such an action will help attract all Ukrainians, in particular children, to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine and environmental initiatives.

It is noted that the lids for collection must be:

  • clean;
  • without extraneous smell;
  • without metal (caps from vodka are not collected);
  • without paper;
  • without transparent inserts of PET plastic;
  • covers from coolers are collected separately.

In addition, collected lids weighing 5 kg or more can be sent by Novaya Poshta. Also, activists from other cities can join the action and organize a collection point in their community.

Earlier, eco-activists already collected 11 tons of lids to purchase an ambulance for the Armed Forces.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that students of the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute collect used disposable electronic cigarettes to support the mine detectors manufacturing laboratory.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in Kyiv "Yapomogabox", which feeds homeless animals in exchange for plastic bottles, will now send 10 coins from each collected bottle to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the same amount to the United24 program.
