Lubricant from the Kakhovskaya HPP can reach the Mediterranean

As a result of the explosion of the Kakhovskaya HPP, the Black Sea carried about 150 dead Ukrainian dolphins to the shores of Bulgaria and Turkey.

It is likely that the current will also bring animals from the Southern region of Ukraine to these countries, such as roe deer, foxes, hares, etc., reports the head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak on Telegram.

He emphasized that about 20,000 wild animals lived on the flooded territory.

"For ecocide there should be strict responsibility for Russian terrorists," Yermak wrote.

He also said that about 150 tons of engine oil are still drifting on the Dnieper. They can reach the Mediterranean.

Among other consequences of the Russian terrorist attack on the Kakhovskaya HPP, he mentioned the flooding of more than 50,000 hectares of forests.

"At least half of them will die. This is more than the area of ​​Iceland's forests," Yermak noted.

He added that the Kakhov reservoir is covered with dead fish. This is approximately 95 thousand tons of living biological resources.

Earlier, Ecopolitic wrote, that on the coast of Bulgaria, near the border with Turkey, the Black Sea carried out the bodies of three dead cows. These are probably animals from Ukraine that died as a result of the explosion of the Kakhovskaya HPP.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in the Kakhovsky Reservoir after the detonation of the HPP near the occupied Energodar the water has completely disappeared, and the territory turned into a desert.
