In Kyiv, old wooden furniture, chipboards, laminate, carpentry, etc. have been accepted for disposal (safe burning).

Small wood without varnish, paint, metal and plastic can be recycled free of charge, reports the public organization "Ukraine without garbage" in Telegram.

"Did you make repairs and have a bunch of wood waste left over that you don't know where to hand in? In order not to throw it in the general trash, from where it will all end up in a landfill, take it to the sorting station," urged eco-activists.

What you can bring:

  • fragments and products from wood fiber and chipboards (fiberboard, HDF, MDF, chipboard, OSB, etc.);
  • joined furniture glued panels and plywood;
  • veneer:
  • parquet, laminate;
  • varnished and painted wooden containers and carpentry

Such waste is accepted by weight at the sorting station. They must first be broken and separated, as well as cleaned of glass and large metal parts. The cost of the service is 30 hryvnias (up to 1 kg) and 60 hryvnias (up to 2 kg).

Waste can be delivered to the address of the city of Kyiv, str. Saperno-Slobidska, 25/4. Station opening hours: Tue-Fri – 13:00-18:00, Sat – 10:00-15:30, Sun-Mon – weekend.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wroe, that in Kyiv, in the Shevchenkiv district, the first sorting capsule of a new model was opened, where you can sort waste into 25 positions according to the principle of self-service.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, foamed polyethylene, which is often used for packing equipment and fragile items, has begun to be recycled in Kyiv.
