5 different varieties of tulips, presented by the Kingdom of the Netherlands, bloomed in Kyiv.
In the fall of 2022, about 125,000 such tulips were planted in the city, in particular on Maidan Nezalezhnosti, Khreshchatyk, Pejazhnaya Alley and in parks, reports Kyivzelenbud on Facebook.
The message emphasized that the city center is decorated with 5 different varieties of tulips, donated by the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
Yellow Novi Sun tulips have already opened on Independence Square near the inscription "I love Ukraine", and purple Bullit have started to open.
The message emphasized that when these tulips bloom "to the full" they will resemble the flag of Ukraine.
It is noted that the pink Salmon Impression has also begun to bloom on Maidan Nezalezhnosti, and the yellow and red-striped Park Tiger still has green buds.
The report said that in 2020, 100,000 tulips were planted at the initiative of the Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Amsterdam, Emile de Sevren Jaquet. The flowers symbolized the Heavenly Hundred.
As EcoPolitic previously reported, the first cherry blossoms and magnolias have blossomed in Kyiv, which will last for about two weeks. Trees decorate parks and squares in every district of the city, as well as the botanical garden named after Academician Fomin and the National Botanical Garden named after Hryshka.
