The lamps will have 2 types of base, namely E27 and E14

Beta testing of the free exchange of 5 old electric incandescent lamps for energy-saving LED lamps in Ukrposhta branches will begin in Ukraine on January 16.

At the first stage, they plan to replace 500,000 lamps in six regions, in about 2 weeks the program will be launched throughout the country, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal reports on Facebook.

He explained that every adult Ukrainian can apply for participation in the program through Diya. The whole process will be as simple and fast as possible.

The press service of Ukrposhta noted that LED lamps will have 2 types of sockets, namely E27 and E14. 30 million LED lamps were purchased by the European Commission and 5 million by France.

"First of all, due to the greatest effect of savings, regional centers and large cities will be provided. By the end of February, the lamps should reach even the smallest villages," the report says.

It is noted that the exchange will take place in two ways with and without a prior order. If you pre-order lamps through the Diya application, they are guaranteed to be waiting for a person at Ukrposhta branches five working days after receiving confirmation from Diya. If you come without registration, the lamps will be exchanged only if they are available.

As EcoPolitic reported earlier, from January 2023, every adult Ukrainian will be able to exchange 5 old lamps incandescent with 5 energy-saving LED lamps. The program is designed to help power engineers in balancing the electrical system.
