The Czech Republic will deduct part of the funds received from visiting its national natural parks to support Ukraine

The environment ministers of the Czech Republic and Slovakia stated that their countries will provide Ukraine with financial and expert assistance in the environmental sector.

This happened at the TAIEX-EIR International Workshop on Future Challenges in Air Protection in Europe in Prague, Czech Republic, the Ministry of Environment Protection and Natural Resources reported on Facebook.

The press service noted that possible ways to improve air quality were discussed at the event, as well as to identify obstacles that hinder this process.

The message said that the Acting Minister of the Environment and Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of the Czech Republic Marian Yurechko stated that the Czech Republic is ready to support Ukraine in the development of nature reserves and territories of the Emerald Network. It is planned that the Czech Republic will deduct part of the funds received from visiting its national natural parks to support Ukraine.

And Slovak Environment Minister Jan Budai emphasized that Slovakia is ready to host Ukrainian experts in 2023 to exchange experience in the field of functioning of the environmental monitoring system and integrated environmental permit.

The message noted that the Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Oleksandr Krasnolutskyi thanked Yurechka and Budai for their unprecedented support to Ukraine and told the ministers about the damage caused by Russian aggression to Ukraine's environment.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that the Minister of environmental protection and natural resources of Ukraine Ruslan Strilets and the Minister of environmental protection, water and forests of Romania Barna Tanchos signed the Agreement on the Implementation of the Espoo Convention.
