From now on, French fries will be served in plastic boxes, and drinks will be served in glasses

In France chain of McDonald's fast food restaurants refused to use disposable tableware.

About this French President Emmanuel Macron wrote on Twitter, stressing that the anti-waste law is not just the end of plastic straws.

He emphasized that the country is undergoing changes aimed at changing consumption patterns and reducing waste.

"We want to do it all over the world. Let's change the situation," wrote Macron.

From now on, French fries will be served in plastic boxes, and drinks will be served in glasses.

In Ukraine, the initiative was supported by People's Deputy Roman Hryshchuk.

"It's aesthetic and ecological. It should be like that in our country," he wrote on his Facebook page.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that McDonald's restaurant chain plans completely switch to ecological toys for Happy Meal. The complete transition from plastic is planned to be completed by the end of 2025.

As EcoPolitic reported earlier, France will fine shops €750 for open doors while the air conditioners are working and heating. These rules are already in place in some regions and will be rolled out across the country.
