In the near future, the territory will be inspected and demined

In the Kherson region, in the Belozersky district, during the retreat, Russian troops mined the solar power plant of the Rengy company, which before the full-scale war was an important element of the community's energy security.

During the occupation, they looted and damaged the station, the Police of the Kherson Region reported on Facebook.

The press service noted that the station is currently does not working.

"Part of the population suffers due to lack of electricity and heat. After the de-occupation of the territory, the workers cannot yet start work on restoring the operation of the station and generating the electricity that is needed now," the message says.

The press service explained that the station is currently heavily mined, but specialists will inspect and clear the area in the near future.

"The police of the Kherson region is working to document as much as possible all the crimes committed by the Russian army on the territory of the region," the press service noted.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that the occupation authorities in the territories not controlled by Ukraine are threatening confiscate objects of industrial solar generation electricity. This applies to SES whose owners are in the territory controlled by the Ukrainian authorities and refuse to return.

As Ecopolitic previously reported, in the Kherson region, in the liberated village of Visokopilya, the Ukrainian military filmed the consequences of the Russian occupation. Partially destroyed solar power plant and about 7 dead cows got caught on video.
