In Kyiv, eco-inspectors calculated more than 25.1 million hryvnias in losses from soil contamination with oil products as a result of rocket attacks on energy infrastructure in October.
The total area of pollution reached 4,800 m2, and in some places the content of pollutants exceeded the maximum permissible concentration (MPC) by 33 times, the State Inspectorate of the Capital District reports on Facebook.
Thus, the impact of Russian missiles on the energy facility on October 10 caused the pollution of land resources with an area of 1,500 m2.
The results of instrumental and laboratory studies showed exceeding the MPC:
- the content of oil products – 21 times;
- iron and manganese – 1.5 times.
The report noted that the amount of losses reached 10.326 million hryvnias.
In addition, a new attack on one of Kyiv's critical infrastructure facilities on October 18 caused damage to land resources amounting to 14.827 million hryvnias and contaminated more than 3,300 m2 of soil.
Eco-inspectors recorded a 33-fold increase in the content of oil products relative to the MPC.
In the message, it was noted that damages from atmospheric air pollution, as a result of these fires, will be calculated additionally.
"Now our front is energy! Save electricity and keep faith in victory," the eco-inspectors emphasized.
