In the Kyiv region, eco-inspectors calculated more than 32 million hryvnias in damages from the fire that occurred as a result of Russian artillery shelling at the warehouses of "WEST GATE LOGISTIC" in the village of Stoyanka, Buchansky district.
As a result of the burning of food, automobile rubber, cosmetics, etc., about 10,000 tons of pollutants were released into the air, the State Environmental Inspection (SEI) of the Capital District reports on Facebook.
The total area of destroyed warehouses was 89.5 thousand m2.
The report noted that as a result of burning, 10,000 tons of pollutants, including nitrogen dioxide, carbon dioxide, and sulfur dioxide, entered the air of Kyiv region.
As a result of artillery shelling, the warehouses burned down:
- automotive and special equipment rubber;
- makeup;
- industrial, construction and household chemicals;
- office furniture;
- alcoholic beverages and food products;
- automobile spare parts;
- household appliances and telecommunications equipment;
- batteries, etc.
The eco-inspectors sent the calculation materials to the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that eco-inspectors calculated UAH 23.3 million in damages to the environment from the shelling by Russian troops of the "Foxtrot" network in the village of Gorenka, Buchansky district, Kyiv region.
