In the Rivne region, residents of the Vladimirets community will be able to save on energy resources, reduce the amount of garden waste, and also simplify their disposal.
Such garbage can become fuel for the central boiler house, reports District.Varosh.
Residents of the community were urged to bring cut branches of bushes and trees to the site near the boiler house, and not send them to a landfill.
Representatives of the village council explained that the boiler house has a special grinder that turns garden waste into fuel.
"It is necessary to protect every, even the smallest energy resource," they noted.
The material emphasized that in the near future it will be possible to see the effect of this initiative, and also whether the residents supported it.
Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in Volyn, in the Ratnovskaya territorial community, they purchased a ton of straw briquettes for heating facilities to "test" biofuels. Local authorities expect that this will help to significantly save on heating, as well as create new jobs.
As EcoPolitic reported earlier, in Ukraine the law "On Heat Supply", which establishes a moratorium on increasing heat tariffs for the population, compensates from the budget the difference in tariffs for heat from gas, but not for heat from alternative sources. Sergiy Dunaylo, vice-president of MA "Ukrteplokommunenergo" said that because of this biofuel boiler houses are practically stopped.
