Ukrainians who want to help environmentalists in conducting nature protection lawsuits can support their activities on the Patreon platform

The economic court of the Kyiv region returned to the state ownership of 267 valuable forests of the reserve of national significance "Urochyshche Unava" and the Belotserkiv forest farm.

LLC Allground wanted to build cottages on the site of the forest, reports the public organization "Kyiv Ecological and Cultural Center" (KECC) on Facebook.

"Urochyshche Unava" is located in the Fastiv district of Kyiv region, and the forest farm is located in Bilotserkivskyi.

"We thank judge Olga Ryabtseva, an honest and decent judge, for such an important decision to protect forests from the development of cottages," said the director of the KECC, Volodymyr Boreyko.

He also noted that Ukrainians who want to help KECC in conducting nature protection trials can support their activities on the Patreon platform.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that the Supreme Court of Ukraine decided to leave unchanged the decision of the Kyiv Court of Appeal regarding the return to the Kyiv community 17 protected areas on Zhukov Island. At the end of the 2000s, 3 hectares of the island, worth more than 45 million hryvnias, were given free of charge for development.
