Due to the hot weather, the demand for air conditioners increases

In France, shops will be fined €750 for having their doors open while the air conditioners are running.

These rules are already in place in some regions and will be rolled out across the country, Minister of Environmental Transition Agnes Pagnier-Runache said, reports BBС.

She emphasized that leaving the door open when the air conditioner is on is absurd. After all, energy prices in Europe have increased significantly after the russian invasion of Ukraine.

France will soon issue two decrees on wasteful energy. The first will extend the ban on light advertising, regardless of the size of the city, from 01:00 to 06:00. And the second will refer to the prohibition of open doors.

The ban on neon signs is already in effect in areas with a population of less than 800,000.

France continues to experience extremely hot weather, increasing demand for air conditioners.

The material also added that Shell warns that the rationing of energy resources cannot be ruled out in the EU, as it is difficult for the region to cope with interruptions in the supply of gas from russia.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that the four largest political groups in the European Parliament have submitted joint amendments to the revised law on energy efficiency and propose to raise the target energy savings up to 14.5% until 2030.

As EcoPolitic reported earlier, the International Energy Agency announced 10 strategic principles, which will make it possible to strengthen the energy efficiency policy in the world and to ensure one third of emission reductions by 2030.
