The German company SMA joined the Association of Solar Energy of Ukraine

This will strengthen efforts to establish energy independence of Ukraine

The international German company SMA Solar Technology (SMA) has become a new member of the Association of Solar Energy of Ukraine.

The company has offices in 18 countries around the world, sales volumes of more than €900 million and about 3,200 employees, the Solar Energy Association of Ukraine reports on Facebook.

SMA is a leading German company of an international level, specializing in the field of photovoltaic system technologies and energy solutions, setting standards for renewable, decentralized and digital energy supply.

It was founded in 1981 in Germany and has been manufacturing quality energy-saving systems for homes and businesses for over 40 years.

"The Solar Energy Association welcomes SMA Solar Technology to our association. For us, as for the Association, and in general for the entire solar industry in Ukraine, it is very important that during the war, the most powerful European company in the solar sphere joined the Association and will further strengthen efforts to establish energy independence," the article says.

WEarlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that the head of DTEK Maksym Tymchenko said that after the end of the war, Ukraine plans to position itself as a supplier of ecologically clean energy in the EU.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, the State Energy Efficiency Agency is developing legislation and a unified platform for registers guarantees the origin of all types of energy from RES.
