The environmental impact of war in Ukraine: Thousands of dead dolphins

Russia’s war in Ukraine is not only killing civilians, it’s also having a colossal impact on the country's wildlife. Thousands of dead dolphins have washed up on the shores of the Black Sea, showing only a small fraction of the devastating effects of Russia’s actions. But the staff of one of the only national parks in Ukraine, that is still operating amid war, are collecting evidence of these crimes, because they are determined to hold Russia accountable for ecocide in Ukraine.
