Water. Earth. Fire – a documentary film about the impact of war on the environment in Ukraine

The documentary film "Water. Earth. Fire" was created to reveal the consequences of the war for the nature of Ukraine, in particular its protected areas. The focus is on three scientists – a botanist, an ornithologist and a researcher of marine mammals. After the cessation of hostilities, they seek to assess the state of natural ecosystems and their objects of research. However, the author of the film explores a wider context, seeking to find out how the war affects the overall situation with the environment of Ukraine. The film "Water. Earth. Fire" was created in the most difficult conditions of martial law and limited access to mined areas. This is the first documentary, but, unfortunately, not the last, which testifies to the consequences of the war for Ukraine's environment.
